Why Bitboy's?
Simple. As SynthPop/80's/Electronic/New Wave fans, hearing the music we've all grown to love isn't easy. For some, finding that special rare recording is nothing short of a holy quest, for others it's just a giant pain-in-the-ass. Regardless of your viewpoint, I hope to share some of my triumphant finds with SynthPop fans who share my appreciation for rare and hard to find music.

How does the site work?
Before I go into what the site is, I want to clarify what it is NOT. This is not a site for pirating music. I do not endorse the unauthorized duplication of ANY artist's work in ANY way. I do my best to ensure that only out-of-print or virtually impossible to find songs are uploaded. In the rare event that I do upload something which is still in print, please show your appreciation and support for the original artist and BUY THE ALBUM.

Okay, now for the good stuff...
Each week, I will post a SynthPop, New Wave or Dance Music song for download in the "Weekly Pick" section that I believe is a rare gem. You may or may not agree with my pick, and I respect your opinion, so please respect mine by not flaming me or requesting me to change the song. The song will be recorded at maximum quality in the MPEG 3 file format from a 44.1KHz, 16-bit stereo master. Additionally, when possible, I will try to write some information on the background of the artist and/or album the song came from. After the song has been up a week, it will be deleted permanently from my server. Since I pay for both server space and bandwidth, I cannot afford to archive all the titles. When a song is gone, it's gone for good. Please do not e-mail me requesting otherwise.
